Fastener Fair USA With Craig & Carmen

EUROLINK FSS VLOG TRANSCRIPT

Craig Penland: Hey guys, this is Craig Penland with Eurolink Fastener Supply Service. I’m here at Fastener Fair USA,  Day two of this show. What a show. It’s been awesome being in Nashville. Go Country Music! And at this moment I’m taking a few seconds and I’m going to introduce you to Carmen Vertullo with Carver Engineering Labs.

Craig Penland: And this is Carmen. Say, Hey, Carmen. 

Carmen Vertullo: Hey. 

Craig Penland: Okay. So Carmen literally just placed his first couple of orders with us for metric screws, and I just wanted to ask Carmen, what was it like buying from Eurolink? 

Carmen Vertullo: Oh, it was super simple and, uh, easy. I’m not in the fastener business per se. I got forced into this by a customer. I actually wanted Craig to sell to the customer. I didn’t wanna sell it. And, um, and, uh, I, I had to put a patch on it. The customer didn’t want to put the patch on it. Craig didn’t wanna put the patch on it. So I got Nylock to do that. And it was a, you know, in this world, probably not a very big transaction. I’m a small company. It was what, a $20,000 deal or something like that? 

Craig Penland: Yeah. 

Carmen Vertullo: And so a pallet, uh. What pleased me the most was he, he gave me a landed cost quote, and it was competitive. I didn’t have to worry about tariffs or imports or duties or anything. And, uh, I sent him a bill. He got it on a plane, got it to, to Nylock, Nylock put the patch on it. They shipped it direct to the customer, and I never saw the screws. 

And, uh, it worked out well, and they paid me. So it was very smooth working with Craig and the team, and, Eurolink communicated great. The quote came in real quick. The order was placed quickly and easily. They told me every step of the way where the parts were.

Carmen Vertullo: They’re on the plane, they’re, you know, they have this really cool, consolidated air freight thing. So it worked good, and I’ll do it every, every chance I get.
