A Day For Remembrance

EUROLINK FSS VLOG TRANSCRIPT

Craig Penland:

Hi, everyone, I want to take a few moments, this Memorial Day Monday, and talk about something a little bit more important than just how we, at Euolink, sell metric nuts and bolts.
I want to talk about this day, and the significance that it holds and how it is to remind us of the sacrifices made by our men and women in uniform.

So let’s dive in for a second. You know, Memorial Day is not just another long weekend, or an opportunity to barbecue or take a trip to the beach. You know, it’s actually a solemn day of remembrance, a day to honor those that gave their lives defending our freedoms. These courageous individuals faught for a cause that was greater than themselves. And we owe them an immeasurable debt of gratitude.

You know, each fallen soldier had dreams. They had aspirations. They had loved ones back home waiting for them, yet, they made the ultimate sacrifice so that we can enjoy our liberties. That, you know, more often than not today, I believe that we take for granted.

You know, their stories is a reminder that Memorial Day is not just about statistics, or a story in a history book. Their stories are about real people who put their lives on the line for a country. For you. For me. It’s about the families that were left behind, carrying the weight of the loss of a loved one, and just longing for their touch one more time.

You know, we can show our gratitude to them by honoring their memory, not just this weekend, on Memorial Day, Monday, but every day. We can visit memorials, we can pay respects to cemeteries. You know, we can offer our support to organizations that assist veterans and their families. These may be small gestures, but you know, something, they carry great meaning.

So today, I’m here in my garage, got my American flag right behind me. And it’s a humbling experience, knowing that that flag represents a human life that has been laid down, and serviced nation. So as we go about this weekend, as we go about this memorial day, Monday, let’s not forget the true essence of Memorial Day. Let’s remember the fallen, cherish their memory, and support those that continue to serve today. Let’s take a moment to express our gratitude for the appreciation of our freedom that we enjoy, thanks to their bravery.

So I just want to tell you, thank you for joining me as I dive into what this weekend actually means and reflect on this journey. And I hope that it has reminded you of the importance of Memorial Day and the incredible sacrifice that has been made by our servicemen and women. So let’s honor their memory, and uplift their families. And never forget, never forget the price that they paid for our freedom.

And as always remember, be kind to one another, love one another, grateful for what you have, and keep those that served in your thoughts and prayers. So until next time, guys, take care of one another. I love you. Penland out.
