EUROLINK FSS VLOG TRANSCRIPT
Craig Penland:
Hey guys. Craig, here from Eurolink…again.
I was just inside working on my script for my Christmas vlog. This would be my third one. Never intended this to continue to keep going like it has, but nevertheless, I was inside working on it, trying to make some jokes. And I was even going to sing, Oh Christmas tree. Oh Christmas tree. That part wasn’t the funny part. Well, yeah, it was.
I was even going to talk about Jesus and what he’s done for us. I thought that I could come up with, like, a list of presents to give him that I thought might be funny. I was thinking about the fact that most of his adult life he was a carpenter, so I thought maybe he could use some fasteners. And then I researched it to see if Jerusalem was on the metric system. And sure enough they are. That’s a positive! So I thought, you know, maybe Jesus would like metric fasteners. Who better to give him metric fasteners than a metric fastener company?
I don’t know, it didn’t work, so I kind of gave up on it and decided to come out here and just get a breath of fresh air. And I was thinking, what better way to discuss Jesus than just to discuss the Christmas story? It comes from Luke two and it says,
“and there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks. At night, an angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified, but the angel said to them, Do not be afraid. I will bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people Today in the town of David, a Savior has been born to you. He is Christ the Lord. This will be as sign to you. You will find a baby wrapped in clothes and lying in a manger. Suddenly, a great company of heavenly hosts appeared with the angel praising God and saying, Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace to men on whom is favor rest.”
That’s what this holiday is all about. All the gift giving, the overeating, the celebrating with family. You know, all those things are great, but that’s what this holiday is about. We should never lose sight that this is the most important thing that we can do, not only on Christmas Day, but throughout the entire year.
I just want to tell you guys thank you for everything that you’ve done for our company this year. This has been an amazing year. Our first full year inside the new facility, we’ve been adding stock left and right, all kinds of brand new products that you guys have been buying. We’ve done almost 200,000 pounds of air freight this year. Oh my goodness, that’s a lot of air freight.
It’s just been an amazing year. And I’ve got this amazing staff that has just worked their butts off to try to be the hero to you guys. They are out looking for metric fasteners when you can’t seem to find the items that you guys want. I’m so proud of each and every one of them and how they work together. They try to give you guys the best customer service in this industry. So thank you. Thank you for what you’ve done for us.
We’re so excited about 2025, that is our 25th anniversary as a company. I can’t believe we’ve been doing it this long, and we’ve stayed focused on doing what we do, not trying to go outside the lines and be everything to everybody, just focusing on those hard-to-find metric fasteners.
And we’re so grateful that you guys keep coming back to us for them. Big year, next year for Eurolink. Super excited.
I’m thankful for my staff. I’m thankful for you, my customers. I’m thankful for my vendors. I’m thankful for my family. I’m thankful for my wife, Kim. It will be 35 years of marriage next year, the fact that she’s put up with me this long. She’s a strong woman, but I’m thankful for all of you.
I just wanted to tell you that here at Christmastime, as you gather with friends and family, just remember the importance of this story and the fact that he gave up everything to come here for us. Hug your families tightly, spend quality time with them, let them know how much you love them.
And when we get back to work at the beginning of January, don’t forget to call Eurolink. Hard-to-Find Metric Fasteners…Delivered.
