So what a special time of year. This is we’ve had a much needed break from non stop holiday parties. We’ve caught up on our sleep, and we’ve gotten back into the swing of things at work, and for the most part, we’ve gotten back to our normal meals…mostly. And now here comes Valentine’s Day around the corner.

It truly is a special holiday because we’re celebrating something very different than all the other holidays. We’re celebrating romantic love, and in true first world American fashion, we show our love by buying gifts. And what are some of my Kim approved recommendations for this year? How about chocolate? How about roses? Boring! It’s the same thing year after year. Honestly, I think it’s time to shake things up a bit. Let’s step outside the traditional Valentine’s Day box with, you guessed it, metric fasteners.

Okay, okay, I already hear you. If I give my spouse metric fasteners as a romantic gift. I’ll spend the rest of the year on the couch. And while that very well may be true, and with it only being February, that’s like 10 more months. But here me out, you can get flowers and chocolates anywhere. Seriously, I’ve seen them in gas stations, right next to the scratch off tickets. There’s nothing special about those gifts. Metric fasteners, though, those can be hard to find if you don’t know the right people, but I’ve got a secret.
