Walk & Talk With Craig From Fastener Fair Global

Hey guys, just finished up day one here at fasten affair global in Stuttgart, Germany. Let’s just say I got all my steps in today, and plus some. But that doesn’t slow down. We got day two, getting ready to get you started tomorrow, and then day three. Unbelievably, I know that’s foreign to us in the United States to have three days of a trade show, but this one is four halls, and let’s just say that I didn’t even get to two of the halls yesterday, that there’s just so many people here, so many vendors, so many visitors, it is slam packed, but it was a great time. Got to spend a lot of quality time with my friends and family over here in Europe that I talk to on a daily basis, that helps take care of us, helps take care of you guys, our customers, but I don’t get to see it as often as I hope. So. It was great spending quality time with them. Lots of German beer, lots of German beer and pretzels and you name it. But it was a fantastic time, and really enjoyed it, and can’t wait for day two to get to spend more time with more of our vendors looking for more product to help service you guys, our customers in a better, more economical way.

So one of the fun things yesterday was having my assistant with me. She prefers that I call her my wife, but nevertheless, having my assistant with me, and she loves bags, always has, always will. Collects bags wherever we go. Never can have too many bags inside of our house. Well, since she was with me yesterday, I decided to let her have the bags that they give you at trade shows and to walk around filling them up with all the goodies that vendors want to give you, she referred to herself as a pack mule by the end of the day yesterday, having to go back to the hotel room twice yesterday to unload the bags and the goodies that were given to me. Just thought it was great. She was a fantastic partner yesterday in this this event, and couldn’t have done it without her. So I just thought that was a funny little story that I’d share with you guys. Can’t wait to see you when I get back. Talk to you soon. Peace out.

Day two at Fastener Fair Global and Stuttgart Germany is in the books. Let’s just say I doubled my steps on day two from day one, trying to make up for just sitting around having a beer with multiple suppliers on day one. So had to make up for that. So had to get the steps in. My administrative assistant that, for some reason, likes to be called my wife. You know, she got her steps in. We had to split up at times and go see different suppliers to get all of them in. But we did. And now, even though there is a day three to Fastener Fair Global, we are going to call it at the end of day two. We’ve got some dinner plans tonight with some very good friends here in Germany, and then tomorrow, we’re packing up and we are going to head to Italy and for the weekend, and maybe even spend a little time with a brand new supplier that is going to be there in the city that we’re staying with. Good times, good times.

The weather has been chilly, but not freezing cold here, which is a good thing, but this overall very successful show, probably 10 to 15,000 people in this show, four halls worth of vendor exhibits, lots of giveaways, lots of little surprises, duckies, teddy bears, hats, pins, books, you name it. Waffle cookies from the Netherlands. Yum. Gummy Bears. Yeah, gummy bears. Lots of gummy bears. For some reason. Have no clue why, but nevertheless, that’s a wrap, guys.
